Metamorphosis 24x36” just like the caterpillar emerges into a butterfly we as humans do the same thing, emotionally and physically. Unfortunately, some people never allow themself to immerse into their true beauty due to fear or expectations of them that the world puts onto them. This painting is created to encourage people to be who they are meant to be. Emerge as your true butterfly and fly freely. 

The butterflies are also symbolic of our short time that we truly have on this earth, and not to take one minute for granted. Embrace each moment good or bad. Time is fleeting, and nothing is permanent.

This is an oil painting on top of acrylic, which gives beautiful texture and depth. Resin poured on top to give a beautiful shine and luxurious texture to piece. The texture of the painting pops through with ripples and dimples, which is more noticeable depending on the time of day and lighting. This painting adds a pop of color to any room with a very lovely, feminine touch. This piece will encourage discussion and conversation over its meaning. This is the eighth painting I’ve done in the tutu series.
